Carnival of Monsters The Royal Monstrological Society is very exquisite. How to play Carnival of Monsters: At the beginning of the game, each player receives 4 crowns and 2 starting lands. 4 season tickets will be selected at random. The deck of cards (consisting of: country, monster, secret objective, employee and event cards) is shuffled and placed on the laid out game board. Four seasons (rounds) are played. Each season consists of 4 phases. Phase 1: The first season card is revealed. It indicates what kind of monsters have special rewards for the current round. Phase 2: Each player is dealt eight cards. Everyone chooses one of these and places it face down in front of them. He gives the remaining cards to his left neighbor. After all players have chosen a card, it is either played or taken into hand and any costs incurred are paid. Phase 3: Players check if dangerous monsters could be tamed. If the player cannot tame his monsters, he must pay a penalty. Phase 4: The season ticket is evaluated. The player spread is cleared and the next season begins. The winner is the player who has gained the most victory points from monsters and objective cards at the end of the fourth season.
